I'ma keep it a buck with you, cousin. We are not a "verse and vibes" ministry. If you been looking for somebody to hand you one Scripture with a sunrise background, throw a caption on it, and call it a day... respectfully, this ain't that.
Around here, we slow down. We ask questions. We wrestle with the hard stuff. We honor the text before we jump to ourselves. Because context isn't extra. It's how we understand what God is communicating.
We gone laugh a little. We gone challenge some assumptions. We gone have a few "hold on, wait..." moments. But by the time you're done, our hope is that you don't just know more about the Bible. You know how to study it for yourself.
Three steps, no fluff. Getting around is simple too: on a phone or tablet, the tabs along the bottom take you Home, to your Library, to Ask, and to your Profile, and on a computer, the same links live up top in the header.
A verse. A topic. A book. A name you keep hearing in church but never got explained. A question you been carrying around for years. The Context Cousin figures out what kind of study to build and routes your query to the right place. Mind you, you're always in control: the Type dropdown right above the search box on the home page lets you pick the study yourself, and Auto lets the Cousin choose for you.
Some days you got 10 minutes. Some days you want to sit with the text for real. Choose the depth that matches your capacity right now. Deep studies build in the background, so you can step away and it'll be waiting in your history when you come back. You can always go deeper later.
The essentials. Context, scripture, and one clear application. Biblically solid, no deep dive.
The full sit-down. History, culture, language, tension, and real-life obedience.
No holding back. Every thread followed, every word examined, every layer of the text. Built in the background.
Bible study ain't passive. Highlight what lands. Bookmark what you need to sit with. Add your own notes. Call the Context Cousin when something still don't make sense. You are allowed to wrestle with the text.
Mark what hits in gold, clay, or sage.
Pin sections you need to come back to.
Your voice belongs in the study too.
Still confused? Ask and get scripture-cited answers.
Studying is the main course. Here's everything else that comes with the table.

Star the studies that fed you. Your favorites live on your profile so the ones you love never get buried.
Every study you generate saves to your personal history on your Profile automatically. The Library page holds the full collection, plus a Community Insights tab showing what the whole community been studying and what's resonating.
Send a study to somebody who needs it, download a branded share card for Instagram, or export the whole study to keep.
Some of the best parts of a study don't announce themselves. Once you're in one, here's what's waiting.
Every section has a research layer. Tap 'Research notes' under it and you get 3-5 extra margin notes, historical, linguistic, or theological. The seminary footnotes without the seminary tone.
See a phrase in the Scripture block you want unpacked? Select it. The Cousin pulls the original word, the historical context, the theological weight, and what it changes about the reading.
Select any text anywhere in the study, pick gold, clay, or sage, and it's saved. The Scripture block has its own highlighter built in too.
That pencil button in the corner opens your notes panel for this study. Write it down, edit it later, and it's all waiting for you.
Every section header has a little star. Tap it to bookmark that exact section so you can jump back to it from your profile.
Everything you make here is saved with your account, and everything worth passing on is a tap away.
Love a whole study? Heart it. Favorites collect in your Library. Mind you, the same passage at a different depth counts as its own study, so you can favorite each one.
Just one section worth keeping? Star it. Bookmarks save that exact section, and every one of them lines up on your profile.
Your study history, highlights, notes, bookmarks, and settings live on your Profile. The Library holds every study, plus a Community Insights tab showing what everybody else been digging into.
Save any study as a print-ready PDF or a Markdown file that works everywhere.
Copy the public study link, send it by email, or post it to X, Facebook, or WhatsApp. You can also download a story or square share card, or drop a Canva-ready template into Canva with every word still editable.
If a study comes back broken, incomplete, or inappropriate, tap Report Issue. Your note goes straight to the team with a snapshot of what you saw, and the study gets looked at and rebuilt.
We don't skip sections just to get to application. Every piece of a Context Cousin study is there because it does something the others can't. Here's what you'll find, in order. Some sections and tools only appear when they fit the study, so you won't see every one of them every time. Book Briefs follow their own blueprint instead: author, audience, timeline, purpose, and how the book bridges the whole biblical story.
Immersive narrative. Before you touch the theology, know the world. Who is speaking? What just happened? What's at stake?
Historical and cultural excavation. Honor/shame, Roman politics, Jewish tradition, economic realities, the stuff your study Bible skims.
The actual text, in full. Read it slow. Highlight what you notice.
Theological exegesis in your cousin's voice. We walk the argument, the literary structure, the theological claim, and where the tension lives.
The original language, broken down without jargon. Transliteration, Strong's number, etymology, and a note from the Cousin.
Two sides of the same truth: the grace the text offers, and the demand it makes. We hold both.
What shifts inside when this truth actually lands? Not a checklist, but interior formation.
Concrete, specific, no platitudes. What does faithfulness look like on a Tuesday at 3pm?
The theological synthesis. Where does this text land in the whole story of scripture? What does it say about who God is?
The Context Cousin detects what kind of study you need and routes it automatically. Mind you, you can also override it manually.
A specific verse or passage. You get the full study: scene, culture, exegesis, tension, application, original language.
Just the book name. You get the foundation: author, audience, date, setting, purpose, major characters, timeline, and how it connects to the larger story.
A concept, theme, or theological idea. The Context Cousin finds the anchor passage and builds the study around the topic itself.
A biblical person. You get their life arc, character, failures, growth, and what God was doing in and through them.
A Hebrew or Greek word. Deep linguistic excavation: etymology, semantic range, theological concept, and why translations handle it the way they do.
A name or title of God. Full original-language depth: what this name means, where it first appears, and what it demands of the people who receive it.
A biblical character read from the inside. You get their interior life, motivations, and arc, and what their story says about how God responds to this kind of human struggle.
